Sleeping is one of the basic everyday activities that all humans need. This helps regain energy and rests the whole body after a whole day of physical and mental activity. The bed we sleep in contributes a great deal in the comfort of our sleep. Choosing the right mattress is very important since this will also help in supporting our backs when we sleep. Old worn out mattresses or the wrong mattress can damage our backs.

Take note of a few tips in taking care of your mattresses right after your purchase. Do not remove the tag of the mattress that you have bought since this will help in asking for warranties. Most companies do not accept warranty claims without the tag. Besides, the tag goes under the bed sheet so you are not supposed to be bothered by it as you sleep.

Avoid standing and jumping on your mattress. This will damage the inside of the mattress and even the foundation. Instead of stretching the life of the mattress, you may have to change and spend more in a shorter period of time.

It takes a while for you to get used to the new mattress that you have purchased. The mattress has capabilities of being more fit to the individual body using it. This is called body conformity. In the first few months, you can rotate the mattress every two weeks or so to balance the cushioning materials contained within. After some time, you may just need to do this once every two to three months or as needed.
