The second major type is the In the Ear (ITE) hearing aids. These fit in the outer ear and are made out of hard plastic. This can be worn by those with mild to severe hearing problems. The Completely in Canal (CIC) hearing aid is placed inside the canal and is a very small version that is concealed in the ear. Due to the small size, these may be harder to adjust. The compact design also makes the product more expensive.
