The Institute is dedicated to serving the public interest by advancing high standards for members of the appraisal profession.
SAIV today represents some 1300 members (60% of registered valuers in South Africa), and is in the business of promoting excellence by:
* Promoting high standards of professional proficiency, ethics and education
* Providing appropriate educational programmes, data and information sources
* Creating awareness of the benefits of professional valuation services
* Contributing to establishing legislation that will be in the best interest of valuers and their clients.
