The Johannesburg Attorneys Accociation represents the interests of its members to the public, to the organized profession (including Law Societies), and the South African Government (including Parliament).
The Johannesburg Attorneys Association was formed when a group of Johannesburg Attorneys, angered at the manner in which a Pretoria colleague was treated by the Law Society, decided to stand together in his defence.
The Johannesburg Attorneys Association website is primarily of interest to attorneys. (Members of the public should contact the Law Society of the Northern Provinces to find an attorney to help them, or to complain about the conduct of an attorney. The Association does, however, have the power to arbitrate disputes between member attorneys, or members of the public and attorneys, if both parties agree to abide by the arbitration ruling.) |
