A document in the deeds office records, prepared by a conveyancer, reflecting the ownership of the immovable property. A title deed is the proof of a person's ownership of a defined property. Endorsements regarding the rights other persons have over the property are also recorded in the title deed. When a registration of transfer takes place, the existing title deed is superseded by the new title deed which is executed in the deeds office by signature of the conveyancer and the Registrar of Deeds.
