Category
Now browse to a category where you would like to register. Your member article will be automatically created in the category you are when you click the <Register> button(at the top of the menu on the left of your screen). So, only once you've found the category you would like to register to should you click on the <Register> button.
If you are a transferring attorney based in Margate, KwaZulu-Natal, for instance, browse to Places In South Africa, and then KwaZulu-Natal. Sometimes your ideal category does not exist yet. Please register in the most appropriate category, and suggest a new category. You can then request a move to the new category as soon as it is created.
Registration Information
The registration page will ask for all kinds of information. Only the fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory information. Be sure to give accurate and up to date information here.
The three most important fields are the username, password and e-mail fields.
Choose a username you would like to be known by. Some of the existing members have chosen nicknames, others have chosen their company names, and yet others use their real names or surnames. It is totally up to you. Your username must be 4 characters in length, or longer.
Your password should be easy for you to remember, but not so easy that someone might be able to guess it. your password must be 6 characters in length or longer.
We require that you provide a valid email address. Free email addresses are allowed.
Member's Article
Once you have entered your registration information and clicked the <Submit> button, your member's article will be created in the category you chose. You may edit this article. The purpose of the member's article is to make any background information about you available to other members and visitors who are interested to know a little more about you.
That is it! Once you've done this, you will be a member and author for the RealFact website.
Avatars
On the registration page, there is a field named "Picture". You can provide an Internet address (URL) to an avatar (identifying picture). Avatars must be a maximum of 80 pixels in width and height.
