You've moved into your new home, but you just can't seem to get a good night's rest! Your restless sleep may have less to do with restless spirits roaming the property than the fact that your bed has outlived its effective usefulness.
Are you cursed with a new bedroom and a defective bed? Then take a leaf out of The Godfather's book and "go to the mattresses"!
Sleep Deprivation
Losing sleep is about more than just an inconvenience. You can become very irritable and your good judgement and concentration may become impaired as a result of sleep deprivation. Lack of sleep is also a major cause of road accidents. So, if you are not getting the rest and relaxation you deserve and require, it might be time for a new bed!
In fact, your life depends on it!
An Effective Bed
To make sure you get a good night's rest, you need an effective bed. But what is that?
A bed should give your limp and sleeping body good support in the neccesay places. If you frequently wake up tired and stiff, your bed is probably not supporting your body in the proper way. This lack of support may cause your neck and limbs to be forced in unnatural and straining positions. That is what causes the aching back and stiff neck!
If your bed is older than seven years, chances are that it doesn't offer the same support today, as it did when you first got it. You may be surprised by the improvements a new bed can make.
When is it time for a new bed?
To determine if the time has come for you to get a new bed, ask yourself a few questions:
- Do you hear squeaks and other noises when you move in your bed?
- Can you feel the springs?
- Do you roll towards your partner without wishing to?
- Are there uneven sagging surfaces on your base mattress?
- Are the mattress covers soiled, torn, or unravelling?
- Are some of the legs or castors broken?
Come on! You'd know when its time to go bed shopping!
Go To The Mattresses
What use is a beautiful bedroom if your old bed spoils it for you? Try to buget for a new bed as well, if there are plans for bedroom renovations or a new house.
Go to your local bed shop and try out a few of the mattresses before you commit to buying one. But go out and get a new bed! Your partner will most probably love you for it!
